A little more than 10 years ago, Huntly House publishing formed. Soon after, it released its first writing project, a middle grade animal fantasy entitled The Taming. Unfortunately, life happened, and Huntly House went on hiatus. Promotion of the book, the first from Atticus Krum, came to a screeching halt.
Now Huntly House is back! More importantly, the small independent press is ready to release several new projects in the coming year.
To kick off this return, we are releasing a revised edition of the intriguing tale of young Thutter McClutter, written for ages 8-12.
Here is the story’s blurb:
When Thutter McClutter, a young Glade-dwelling shrew, willingly decides to break the ancient Code and cross into the shadowy darkness of the great Woode, he is certain that seeing the mysterious Solkreat is the goal. But as he and his friends near the curious Creature, another agenda is exposed. One of the adventurers wants the magic hogseye. The wicked and powerful Beastmonger is nearby, however, and he also covets the enchanted object; what’s more, he will stop at nothing to get it—not even murder.
The Taming is a story about friendship, lasting faith, and willing sacrifice. It is the first book of the Refuge Chronicles, an epic tale of Light’s battle with Darkness.
Having received solid reviews a decade ago, we are excited to promote this new edition of Krum’s first novel which is now available for purchase in both paperback and ebook on Amazon.
