The King did something that few thought he would ever do. He made a return to the new realm.
But he came for a very specific reason.
Appearing on the steps of the palace, the good King offered the citizens of the new realm a message. He began by calling for all of the residents there to give up their allegiance to their new king, his former Servant, the one who had been illegitimately crowned. He then called out the Servant’s lies and reminded the residents of his kindness and the happiness that they once knew. He knew that most of them now lived angry, depressed lives. He knew they didn’t get along anymore. They treated each other badly. He wanted them to have so much more, and only He could provide that.
The residents of the Second Realm did not listen, however. They stormed the palace. They attempted to slay the King of the Great Realm.
The King responded by taking an extraordinary step. He immediately placed a curse on all who lived in the New Realm.
Now, cursing the land and its citizens was not a decision that the King took lightly. It was the only way, however, to ensure that some from the New Realm knew and enjoyed the joy that he offered.
And so, the King set his plan in motion, a plan that he had devised long ago—long before the servant’s rebellion—long before the uprising of the citizens of the Second Realm.
